NOUN Admission New Portal/Website;  This is to let you know that National Open University of Nigeria now has a NEW official website for Admission processes. This means, NOUN nolonger uses https://admissions.nouonline.net/zzappl_ugrad.php for Admission of new students. Though the site still operates as students' Portal. To buy NOUN Form you''ll need to use the NEW website.

Step by Step Procedure on How to Apply for NOUN Admission

1. Application for admission

Check your qualification against available programmes

  1. Click 'Admission'
  2. Click 'Am I qualified'
  3. Select faculty
  4. Select department
  5. Select programme
  6. Select level
  7. Click the 'Next' button

2. Apply for admission

  1. Click on the 'Admission'
  2. Click on the 'Apply for admission'
  3. Click 'Yes' if you have checked your credentials against the requirements for the programme of your choice otherwise, click 'No' and check as applicable
  4. Follow the guide in the pop-up box if applicable otherwise, close it
  5. Select/enter all options as applicable
  6. Click on the 'Next' button
  7. Click on 'Details confirmed' button after confirming displayed pieces of information
  8. Re-confirm payment details, click on 'Yes' and then on 'Make payment' button
  9. On the remita page, confirm displayed information and click on the 'Submit' button
  10. Select applicable payment option and click on 'Make payment' button
  11. Still at the remita end, follow the prompts on the screen.
  12. When you enter your one-time-password (OTP) and click the submit button, it is strongly advised that you do not do anything on the keyboard, mouse or screen until you are returned to NOUN page
  13. You will be debited and returned (if there was no interruption) to NOUN page. Follow the instructions and note the pieces of information on the screen

3. Check/complete payment for application form. Applicable to cases of incomplete payment transaction

  1. Click on the 'Apply for admission' icon on the left side of the screen
  2. Select/enter all options as applicable
  3. Click on the 'Submit' button
  4. Click on 'Details confimed' button after confirming displayed pieces of information
  5. Re-confirm payment details, click on 'Yes' and then on 'Make payment' button
  6. On the remita page, confirm displayed information and click on the 'Submit' button
  7. Select applicable payment option and click on 'Make payment' button
  8. Still at the remita end, follow the prompts on the screen.
  9. When you enter your one-time-password (OTP) and click the submit button, it is srongly advised that you do not do anything on the keyboard, mouse or screen until you are returned to NOUN page
  10. You will be debited and returned (if there was no interuption) to NOUN page. Follow the intructions and note the pieces of information on the screen

4. Login to the application form

  1. Click 'Home'
  2. Click 'Admission'
  3. Click on 'Return to application form'
  4. Enter your application form number and your password
  5. Click on the 'Login' button
  6. Follow the prompts on the screen

5. Fill/edit the application form

a. Click on the 'Preview form' button (top) if you are not on the form preview page

b. Scroll to the 'Academic history' section

c. Click on the corresponding 'edit' icon

d. Click on the button for the credential

e. Click on the 'Delete' button

f. Confirm your intention

a. Click on the corresponding edit icon

b. Make adjustments as applicable

c. Click on the 'Next' button to save changes and move to the next page

  1. Sections of the application form must be completed sequentially. Skipping is not allowed.
  2. The top of the head, the front baseline of the neck and the two ears must be clearly visible on the passport picture
  3. To delete one or more of the credentials you have entered (possible only if every section of the applicaforn form has been completed)
  4. To access/edit any section of your application form from the form preview page

6. Submit application form

  1. Login to the application form as described in D above
  2. Complete all the sections(1 - 6) of the form
  3. Click on the 'Submit' button at the right bottom area on the form preview page
  4. Read the message on the screen carefully and respond accordingly
  5. Read and follow the guides on the screen

Registration

7. Visit your study centre of choice for screening

8. Check admission/application status

  1. Login to the application form as described in D above
  2. Follow the instruction on the screen.
  3. Read the pieces of information and follow the instruction(s) on the page. Your admission/application status will be reflected here

9. Sign-up with your matriculation number (one-time action, only possible if you are screened qualified)

  1. Click on 'Fresh student' icon on the lower left area of the page
  2. Fill in the boxes according to the labels
  3. Be mindful of what you type as your password and answer to your security question
  4. Click the 'Submit' button.
  5. Read the instruction that pops up on the screen and take step(s) accordingly

10. Sign-in with your matriculation number

  1. Click on 'Registered student'
  2. Enter your matriculation number and password accordingly
  3. Click the 'Login' button.
  4. Read the instruction that pops up on the screen and take step(s) accordingly
  5. Note the calendar summary that pops up and click to remove

11. Register for new session or second semester (Pay session/semester registration fee)

  1. Sign-in as descibed in procedure J
  2. Click on 'Register for the semester' on the left side of your home page
  3. Note the fee break-down that pops up and click on 'Yes' at the bottom of the pop-up
  4. Read the pieces of information and instruction on the page
  5. Answer the question below the boxed instruction to confirm your intention
  6. Click on the Submit button and you will be directed to remita site
  7. On remita site, note the peices of information and click the submit button if they are correct. Else, re-start the process.
  8. On the pop-up box that comes up, click on your choice of payment (card option is the default) and follow the prompt on the screen
  9. When the payment is successful, you will be re-directed back to your section of the University portal. Wait for this redirection to complete before you do anything else on the screen.
  10. Read and follow the instructions on the page carefully
  11. Click on 'Register courses' and check the box corresponding to each course of interest.
  12. Click on the 'Submit' button on the lower right area of the screen
  13. Confirm your selections
  14. Bring up your course registration slip by clicking on 'Course registration slip'
  15. Print and keep a copy of the slip for future reference

12. Register courses

  1. Sign-in as descibed in procedure J
  2. Close the pop-up event calendar and any other pop-up box
  3. If you have already done 1 and 2, return to the page from which you came here and click the 'My home' button (top)
  4. Close any pop-up box
  5. Click 'Register courses'
  6. Click courses to register
  7. Click 'Submit' button
  8. Confirm your intention

13. Register courses for exam

  1. Sign-in as descibed in procedure J
  2. Close the pop-up event calendar
  3. Click 'Register courses for exam'
  4. Click courses to be registered for exam
  5. Click 'Submit' button
  6. Confirm your intention

Others

14. Drop courses (if applicable)

  1. Sign-in as descibed in procedure J
  2. Click 'See course registration slip'
  3. Click 'Courses to be dropped drop'
  4. Click 'Drop course' at the top of the list of courses
  5. Confirm your intention

15. Drop courses for exam (if applicable)

  1. Sign-in as descibed in procedure J
  2. Click 'See exam registration slip'
  3. Click 'Courses to drop for exam'
  4. Click 'Drop exam'
  5. Confirm your intention

16. Check payment status/Validate payment

  1. Sign-in as descibed in procedure J
  2. Click on 'Check payment status'
  3. Enter the RRR (on the remita receipt) for the payment
  4. Click on the 'Check' buttom
  5. Note the payment status message that pops up next to the RRR
  6. If payment is confirmed, the 'See payment receipt' button will be displayed under the RRR you entered. Click the button to see your receipt

17. Make payment (Only available on your home page)

  1. Sign-in as descibed in procedure J
  2. Click on 'Make payment' on the lower right area of the page
  3. Note the fee break-down that pops up and click on 'Yes' at the bottom of the pop-up (optional)
  4. Read the pieces of information and instructions on the page
  5. Answer the question below the boxed instruction to confirm your intention
  6. Click on the 'Complete payment' button and you will be directed to remita site
  7. On remita site, note the peices of information and click the submit button if they are correct
  8. On the pop-up box that comes up, click on your choice of payment (card option is the default)
  9. Enter the required numbers and click the submit button
  10. Enter the OTP sent to your phone and click the submit button
  11. When the payment is successful, you will be re-directed back to your section of the University portal. Wait for this redirection to complete before you do anything else on the screen.
  12. Read and follow the instructions on the page carefully

18. Check result

  1. Sign-in as descibed in procedure J
  2. Click on 'My progress' at the top right area of your home page.

19. Print student ID card

  1. Sign-in as descibed in procedure J
  2. Click on 'Registry' on the top horizontal second level list of menu items of your home page.
  3. Click 'Print identity card' left on the left side of your home page
